The right approach isn’t reading reviews and picking the highest-rated tool. It’s:

  1. Map your top 3-5 processes (use Miro or whatever’s free).
  2. Identify what improvement work they need (analysis, automation, change management).
  3. Pick the tool that’s best for the specific work you have, not the most impressive overall.
  4. Limit yourself to one tool per category for the first year. Adding more multiplies complexity faster than it adds capability.

The companies with the best process improvement programs aren’t the ones with the most tools. They have a small stack that they use well.
